The Point area boasts seven diverse restaurants - all with spectacular sea views of the Indian Ocean and and within walking distance of The Point Hotel. It's a great place for families to stroll around and enjoy the summer sunshine and fresh Ocean breeze.
The Dros is a family steakhouse whilst Big Blue is a Greek-themed venue with wonderful views onto the rocks and the natural tidal pool below. Both are situated alongside The Point Hotel. The old Mossel Bay Aquarium - beneath Big Blue - has been completely refitted and now includes a sharks and rays tank (which will appeal to the kiddies particularly), a small curio shop and, just outside the front door, an Oyster Bar which must rank as the smallest (and friendliest) in the land.
At the opposite end of The Point Area, Delfinos and The Kingfisher Restaurant are popular gathering spots on the beachfront. Delfinos is open from early in the morning and its large terrace is a popular spot for watching the surfing - which takes place not 50 metres away. The Ocean Grill and The Beef Baron offer seafood an delicious steaks in a laidback atomosphere.
The Lighthouse Restaurant, which has a diverse A La Carte menu specialising in Mossel Bay's famous seafood, completes The Point’s quintet of restaurants by the sea, and offers an elegant Cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks.
