The Lighthouse Restaurant is celebrating summer in Mossel Bay with a range of superb seafood specials that will have everyone's mouth watering!

Our Executive Chef has sourced the freshest local produce and you can tuck into 12 Prawns served with our Chefs homemade Peri Peri sauce for only R79. Enjoy Fresh hake and chips or a delicious old fashioned chicken schnitzel served with chips and a sauce. Children are welcome and we have a range of meals available under R30.

For a fabulous treat, enjoy our signature Point Seafood Platter for only R199 while relaxing and enjoying your meal in a beautiful vibrant setting - what could be more dramatic than the Indian Ocean pounding against the rocks and superb views of Southern right and Humpback whales passing majestically by.

The Lighthouse Restaurant is open daily from 7am - 10am weekdays and 7am - 11am weekends, for our sumptuous Buffet Breakfast (R85pp). Enjoy a superb Continental spread as well as Hot buffet including pastries, muffins, flapjacks, home made muesli, German cold meats, cheeses and fresh South African fruit as well as fresh roasted filter coffee and a selection of Ceylon and fruit teas.

The spirit of giving...
The Point Hotel is privileged to be involved every year with Moreson Orphanage based in George. Teneil Claassen our Front Desk Manager together with Alex Louw (Point Hotel Reception) encourage Point Hotel staff to contribute Christmas gifts and with a range of sponsors put together a Xmas party and dinner for the children. Their Christmas helpers this year included Andrew Hustler, Cindy Budd and Duran Claassen.

And spreading more Xmas cheer...
The Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital, CEF Women's Shelter and ACVV Social Welfare all happily received donations of water jugs, pillows and linen from The Point Hotel. All of the items were no longer suited to use in the hotel industry but were received gratefully for further use within the community.

SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM - INDIAN ROAD
SHOW 2012

The Point Hotel will for the first time participate in the South African Tourism India roadshow, 29 January - 6th February 2012. The trip is co-ordinated by SAT India under the guidance of Hanneli Slabber, Country Head.

The Point Hotel represented by owner, Louis Harris will visit five cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Pune - participating in travel workshops in each city.

India is emerging as a new travel market that is entering a growth phase and currently ranks 25th among the world's total outbound travel markets and 14th in terms of longhaul travel.

This economic growth is expected to continue over the next 40 years and by 2050 India is expected to be among the top three global companies. The Point Hotel looks forward to the new challenge and in continuing to adapt to a changing environment.
