We enjoyed our stay so much and felt it was too short - we were sorry to leave this lovely hotel and hope to return sometime soon. The hotel is efficiently run, dining room staff were excellent and reception staff efficient! Thank you.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years, and the standard remains first class. Staff are extremely pleasant and efficient. Should we return to Mossel Bay we would certainly use this hotel again.
Perfectly situated overlooking the waves crashing on the rocks. |

As a group of twelve Welsh Lions rugby supporters we stayed for two nights at the Point en route to Cape Town. From the outset we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable and each had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The area had a wild storm on one night and the experience was unforgettable. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. Dinner was sublime and was the best meal-of many excellent meals-we had while in South Africa. Prices were reasonable and I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
The Cuban Bar in town wasn't bad either!!!!!!!!!!! |

gTravelz, 1 Dec 2009:
Would recommend to a friend! The view is simply amazing! The pool is awesome if you don't mind saltwater (it is built into the area where the waves crash against the rocks). We went at a time when there were not many people here and had the pool to ourselves. The breakfast was great also (lots of variety).
The hike up the nearby rocks is very nice and the views are so picturesque. |

We stayed here on the 20th oct for 1 night. The views are stunning over the sea.The tidal pool was refreshing to say the least!!. We ate in the resturant next door which was not very good.
The breakfast was excellent and we watched the whales whilst eating our bacon and eggs!!! Good place to stay for 1 night. |

The Buffet breakfast caters for all tastes, and though I didn't have dinner, if the meals I had via room-service are anything to go by, then I'm obliged to say, it's first-class.
You can't argue against private balconies that overlook the Indian Ocean. Magnificent! |

We stayed here one night while travelling the garden route, lovely view of sea crashing on the rocks from the balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The food was good and the overall bill was very reasonable. Would pay a lot more in England for the view alone. |

I am a wedding organizer based in England for 16 years now. I only started doing weddings a few months ago. Searching for the right venue for Karen and Peter Beverton's choice, I tried various Hotels, but one Hotel and its manageres did it... Chantel at The Point Hotel. Chantel went out of her way to accommodate and help with all my requests and she stayed in contact by email informing me of any changes. She gave me advice on where to find suppliers and good prices. She was there from the beginning to the end. The wedding was 5/5/08 Monday 14.00. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. They made us feel that we were the only important guests. The rooms have a beautiful sea view, is clean and very good. With the stunning see view the guests enjoy standing on the balcony of the conference room with a glass of champagne. I could choose from several menus and the hotel chef were very helpful because we had to include a menu for vegeterian and diabetic guests.
I will certainly use The Point Hotel again for a wedding venue!

I was guest at the Hotel on Sunday to Monday 8 - 9 April 2007. I am member of Express Hotels World Wide, my stay, my room, the view and the Lighthouse Restaurant where I had my evening meal and breakfast was excellent. I forgot my cell phone in the room safe. I contacted reception and spoke to Teniel Claasen who assisted me and found my phone still in the safe. He returned the phone back to me via Berco Express which I received in Cape Town the following day.
I like to take this opportunity to thank Teniel and The Point Hotel for there excellent service and can highly recommend the Hotel. |

The point Hotel is magnificently situated over looking the Indian Ocean where you can watch and listen to the pounding of the waves to your heart's content, which we did. Breakfast on the terrace was a dream and -out of this world!. Our room was light and spacious and had everything we needed including a very good en-suite. On arrival at 2pm we were made very welcome by the restaurant staff (Janine) despite being the only guests there.
Our evening meal there was also was very good. |

Just want you to know how much we enjoyed out stay and really appreciated the use of your computer for the internet. We feel your hotel is the finest we have every stayed at any place in the world. Better that the Grand in Paris and the Savoy in London! As we left toward Beaufort West, we drove by the Bay and saw a whale a few hundred yards offshore rolling and slapping in the water. We watched for over a half a hour.
What a great way to leave Mossel's Bay.

My husband and I visited Mossel Bay 2 weeks ago and we stayed at the Point Hotel in Mossel Bay for 5 nights. I am writing to ask you to thank all your staff at the hotel especially Christoff who looked after us so well and made our stay very special. We were made to feel very welcome, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would feel very proud to have a team like the staff at The Point working for me.
I will certainly recommend The Point to friends and colleagues who are looking to visit South Africa. |

From the moment that we step into the lobby of 'the Point Hotel' it was a pleasure. The service that was given by all the staff from the front desk down to housekeeping was superb and always with a smile. The 'Point Hotel' is not only a picturesque beauty but when you receive the welcomes and the smiles it becomes memorable.
We appreciate and will highly recommend to others. |
